One of those “wow”-inducing colors comes from David Thompson, a Mizani Hair Artist and owner of David Thompson Hair. Inspired by the deep blue sea, David set out to create an inspired, romantic and timeless bob with a truly unique color. By applying this color, he created movement in hair, allowing for truly multidimensional shine. Although this look was created on non-processed hair—yes, it’s a wig—this formula will give your clients a fun color for summer that matches the ocean or lake they’ll be splashing in all summer long! Here is the formula for this Sea Breeze Blend—using Joico for color and Mizani for style!
The Formulas
- Starting Level:
- 4 (Non-Processed Hair)
- Formula A:
- Joico Vero K-PAK Crème Lightener + 20-volume developer
- Formula B:
- 3 parts Joico Vero K-PAK Color Intensity Indigo + 1 part Color Intensity Peacock Green
- Formula C:
- ½ Tube Joico Vero K-PAK Color Intensity Cobalt Blue + 1 inch Color Intensity Peacock Green
Steps
1. Begin by applying Formula A throughout the entirety of the hair to lift to yellow. There’s no set processing time—simply observe carefully until you see yellow starting to show through. Rinse.
2. At the roots, apply Formula B. Process for 30 minutes, then rinse.
3. From the midlengths to ends, balayage paint Formula C. Process for 30 minutes.
4. Rinse, shampoo and condition using Joico Color Endure Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Conditioner. Rub Mizani D’Tangle Moisturizing Leave-In 25 Miracle Milk throughout the hair to repair the hair.
5. Spray Mizani HRM® Humidity Resistant Mist over the hair and blow-dry.
6. Finish off with Mizani SHYNE Bodifying Sheen Spray to add shine and tame frizz.
