When your client comes in sporting a faded pastel color and wants something fresh that's equal parts pretty AND party—what do you do?! No worries, we're here to clue you in on this perfect summer shade thanks to Bexxs Lynch aka @msbehave_bexxs from Florida! She created this summery, sandy, beachy-blonde hue and it's totally what's up for the season—this Florida gal knows her balayage! Here's how she did it.
The Formulas
- Natural/Starting Level:
- Level 5, natural ash base
- Formula A:
- IGORA ROYAL 7-4 (Medium Blonde Beige) + 1 inch Cendré Extract E-1 Additive + 20-volume developer
- Formula B:
- BLONDME Premium Lift 9+ + 40-volume developer + Olaplex No.1
- Formula C:
- IGORA ROYAL NUDE TONES 10-46 (Ultra Blonde Beige Chocolate) + 7-volume developer
Steps
1. Apply Formula A for base retouch, let process for 30 minutes, and then wash and dry the hair thoroughly.
2. Next, section the hair into five equal parts and start to balayage using Formula B. Tease each section slightly and alternate lightener application using a W and V pattern, making sure the ends are saturated.
Pro Tip: Make sure to leave small, thin sections out between your foils from the older color for more dimension in the hair.
3. Once all foils are lifted to a pale yellow, remove and tone with Formula C. Let process for 10 to 15 minutes, then apply Olaplex No.2 for 5 to 10 minutes.
