Plums for fall? Absolutely. These rich, wine-colored tones add subtle ribbons of color for the ultimate dimensional haircolor. So, when Carolynn Judd (@styled_by_carolynn) shared this violet and magenta balayage on Insta, we had to get the deets. Here’s how she did it!

Total chair time: 4 hours

Pricing: $180

Steps

  1. Apply Formula A and balayage the hair, painting where you would like to see the brightest magenta.
  2. Weave slices in between the balayage for depth and apply Formula B. Process until the lightened hair lifts to a Level 8. Then, rinse and shampoo but skip the conditioner.
  3. Towel-dry. Then, apply Formula C all over the hair. Process for 20-25 minutes. Then, rinse and style.
