When 2017 #ONESHOT Hair Paint Winner Mika Rogerson (@mikaatbhc) posted this rich and multi-tonal balayage, we had to break it down for the BTC fam. Peep the beeker for the color formulas and get the steps below!

The Formulas

Formula A (root smudge)Redken Shades EQ 4N + 1B + Shades EQ Processing Solution Formula B (balayage)
Wella Professionals BLONDOR Freelights White Lightening Powder + 40-volume developer + b3 Brazilian Bond Builder

Steps

  1. Apply Formula A to the roots. Process, rinse and blow-dry.
  2. Then, balayage by applying Formula B in 3-inch horizontal panels and leaving out enough hair for built-in lowlights. Process, then rinse.
  3. Tone with Formula C, process and rinse.
