The Formulas
- Natural Level:
- 5 Brown with Level 7 outgrowth
- Formula A (regrowth):
- Wella Professionals Color Touch 5/0 + 1.9-volume developer
- Formula B (prelighten):
- Wella Professionals BLONDOR Multi-Blonde Powder Lightener + 40-volume developer
- Formula C (prelighten):
- 1/8 oz. Olaplex + Wella Professionals FREELIGHTS Lightener + 40-volume developer
- Formula D:
- PRAVANA VIVIDS Violet + 2 dots of PRAVANA VIVIDS Blue
- Formula E:
- PRAVANA VIVIDS Magenta + PRAVANA VIVIDS NEONS Pink + one dot of PRAVANA VIVIDS Violet
Steps
1. On dry hair, start by applying Formula A to the outgrowth, blending it down to soften the line between regrowth and previous color.
2. Next, take Formulas B and C, balayaging the remainder of the hair. Alternate the lighteners to add variety to the lightening. Process the hair until a Level 9-10 pale yellow is achieved.
3. Wash and condition the hair with Wella Professional’s Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner and dry the hair.
4. Apply Formulas D and E in diagonal partings, alternating the colors at the roots and melting them into each other as you work down each section.
5. Process for 30 minutes and rinse with cold water.
6. Blow-dry the hair and style.
