The Formulas
- Natural/Starting Level:
- 7 with an inch of regrowth and demi-permanent haircolor on the midlengths and ends.
- Formula A:
- PRAVANA Pure Light Crème Lightener + 20-volume developer + Olaplex No.1
- Formula B:
- PRAVANA Pure Light Crème Lightener + PRAVANA Zero Lift Creme Developer + Olaplex No.1
- Formula C:
- PRAVANA ChromaSilk EXPRESS TONES 15g Pearl + 5g Violet + A full tube of Clear + PRAVANA Zero Lift Creme Developer (1:1½)
- Formula D:
- PRAVANA ChromaSilk PASTELS 70% Pretty in Pink + 15% Luscious Lavender + 15% Clear
Steps
1. Start by applying Formula A throughout the cold shaft of the hair, avoiding the heat zone at the scalp (about 1/8 of an inch off the scalp). Be sure to also avoid overlapping with the previously processed hair.
2. Let process until the cold shaft has reached a bright gold/yellow tone, then begin the application at the scalp using Formula A.
3. Then, apply Formula B throughout the remainder of the hair and process until the desired level of lift is achieved.
4. Rinse thoroughly, then apply Olaplex No.2 and let it sit for 15 minutes.
5. Bring the client back to the chair with wet/damp hair and then tone by applying Formula C from the roots to the ends using a brush.
6. Process for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and dry the hair completely.
7. Next, take ¼-inch sections and apply Formula D from the roots to the ends, ensuring complete saturation. Process for 30 minutes.
8. Rinse, condition and apply your fave heat protectant. Then, blow-dry and style as desired.
