The Formulas

Formula A (lightener)
30g PRAVANA Pure Light Ultra Lightener + 60g 20-volume creme developer
Formula B (repigmenting)
30g PRAVANA ChromaSilk Creme Hair Color 6.34 + 45g 10-volume creme developer
Formula C (orange)
90g PRAVANA ChromaSilk VIVIDS Orange
Formula D (black)
30g PRAVANA ChromaSilk Creme Hair Color 3N + 45g 10-volume creme developer

Steps

  1. Prep the hair using PRAVANA Purify & Revive PRIME spray to cleanse and remove build-up. Process for three minutes to diminish any hard water minerals. No rinse required!
  2. Take a vertical part from nose to nape to create two equal sections.
  3. Apply Formula A to the dark side about half an inch away from the scalp through the ends. Once the hair has achieved 70 percent of the lift, apply Formula A to the scalp. Process at room temperature until you reach a Level 7 gold.
  4. Apply Formula B to the faded mint side from roots to ends to neutralize the remaining color and replenish the warm pigment beneath. Allow to process for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Once Formula A and Formula B have processed, shampoo with PRAVANA Intense Therapy Cleanse, rinse and towel-dry.
  6. Apply PRAVANA Silk Degrees Prep & Treat for five minutes to equalize porosity.
  7. Starting on the prelightened side, apply Formula C to ¼” horizontal sections. Reload your brush every three inches for full saturation.
  8. On the replenished (faded mint side), apply Formula D in ¼” horizontal sections from roots to ends.
  9. Allow both sides to process for 30 minutes at room temperature, then shampoo and condition with PRAVANA Color Protect Cleanse and Condition.
  10. Style as desired.
