When it comes to color melts, the key to success is seamlessly blending each formula together so it's impossible to say where one ends and another starts. One hairdresser who nailed it? Ashley Gorman (@ashleyrosehair21), a stylist at Salon Sapphire in Temecula, Calif. More than 12k likes later and we've got all the deets on this melted embers formula! Here's how she did it.
Steps
1. Apply Formula A from the roots to about 2 inches down.
2. Then, paint Formula B from where Formula A ends to about 2 inches further down the hair shaft.
3. Apply Formula C from the end of Formula B to about 1½ inches down.
4. Lightly paint Formula D from where Formula C ends to the ends of her hair. Process for 45 minutes.
5. Rinse with cool water, then shampoo with UNITE U LUXURY Shampoo. For the conditioner, mix Olaplex No.2, UNITE U LUXURY Conditioner and UNITE BLONDA Condition. Leave the conditioner on for 5 minutes, then rinse with cool water.
6. Towel-dry, then prep hair with UNITE U Argan Oil, UNITE BLOW&SET Lotion and UNITE SMOOTH&SHINE. Then, cut and style as desired.
