At Beverley Hills' top salon, Bomane, individual extension specialist and LINEONE Educator Isabelle McGuire (@isabelle_bomane) collaborated with LINEONE Educator Ilsa Lamberti (@hairbyilsa) to give Madison Beer’s signature rich brunette a subtle sparkle twist.
For Madison's Cool On-Camera Brunette™, Isabelle and Ilsa used heavily teased babylight weaves throughout, followed by tipped-out sections to create luxurious, sparkly highlights that provide natural coverage for an overall glow. Save Isabelle and Ilsa’s step-by-step and formulas below.

The Formulas
- Formula A (highlights):
- Redken Flashlift Lightener + developer
- Formula B (roots, first gloss):
- Redken Shades EQ 05N + 06NA + Redken Shades EQ Gloss to Gel Processing Solution
- Formula C (mids, first gloss):
- Shades EQ 07N + 06NA + Shades EQ Processing Solution
- Formula D (ends, first gloss):
- Shades EQ 07N + 07GB + 07P + Shades EQ Processing Solution
- Formula E (roots, mids, ends, second gloss):
- Shades EQ 06GB + 06NA + 07P + 08N + Shades EQ Processing Solution
Steps
1. Apply Formula A following the highlight technique Isabelle uses:
- Full highlight using deeply teased babylights
- Space sections ½ to one inch apart
- Backbrush the lightener into the tease to create a soft transition from the natural
- Tip out all sections left out of the foils
2. Process the highlights to a Level 8 to 9 and then rinse.
3. Next, begin the first round of toning. Isabelle applies Formula B to the roots, Formula C to the mids and Formula D to the ends. Rinse.
“Glossing a brunette twice after highlighting is the key to a soft On-Camera Brunette™ that still feels brown, not blonde,” Isabelle explains, which is why she applies the Signature DOUBLE GLOSS to towel-dried hair all-over for 20 minutes.
4. Rinse and style as desired.
