Katy Perry has proven that she can rock any haircolor she chooses, and right now, she's sticking to her super chic platinum blonde pixie. But before she walked any red carpets for the Oscars after-parties, Rick Henry (@rickhenryla), a senior stylist at Nine Zero One Salon, needed to give her icy locks a quick refresher. Here's how he did it.
The Formulas
- Formula A:
- Joico Blonde Life Lightening Powder + 20-volume Joico LumiShine Developer
- Formula B:
- Blonde Life Lightening Powder + 10-volume LumiShine Developer
- Formula C:
- Joico LumiShine Demi-Permanent Liquid ½ oz. 10SB + ½ oz. Clear + 1 oz. 5-volume LumiShine Developer
Steps
1. Apply Joico Blonde Life Brightening Veil to freshly shampooed hair to protect each strand from heat damage.
2. Then, apply Formula A to the roots only and process for 25 minutes.
3. Apply Formula B to the ends and process for an additional 15 minutes.
4. Tone with Formula C, then apply Joico K-PAK Color Therapy Luster Lock Instant Shine & Repair to protect her strands and enhance the gleam.
5. Rinse, blow-dry, then apply Joico Body Shake to create textured definition and volume. Finish the style with Joico JoiMist Medium Finishing Spray.
