Never one to shy away from making a fashion statement, Katy Perry looked like an angel at the 2018 Met Gala with her gold Versace gown, signature blonde pixie and oh, those HUGE, can't-miss white wings. We may not know how Katy managed to (flawlessly) pull off such a massive accessory, but we do know how Rick Henry (@rickhenryla), a senior stylist at Nine Zero One Salon, created her angelic blonde. Find out in the steps below!

The Formulas

Formula A:
Joico Blonde Life Lightening Powder + 20-volume Joico LumiShine Developer
Formula B:
Joico Blonde Life Lightening Powder + 10-volume Joico LumiShine Developer
Formula C:
Joico LumiShine Demi-Permanent Liquid 10SB + Clear + 5-volume LumiShine Developer

Steps

1. Apply Formula A to the roots and process for 35 minutes.

2. In the last 10 minutes, apply Formula B to the ends to bring up the intensity and let process for the remaining 10 minutes.

3. Rinse, then tone with Formula C. Rinse again.

4. For the style, towel-dry and apply Joico Heat Set Blowout Perfecting Crème to protect the hair against heat damage.

5. Once the hair is dry, apply Joico Beach Shake to give it texture, hydration and separation for a piece-y finished look.
