Mario’s client had thick hair which led to a five-hour blonding transformation. Since this look is low-maintenance, Mario would suggest the client visit in six to eight weeks for a toner touch-up. “We’d go for the full service again in five to six months, depending on the hair growth, with touch-ups as needed in between,” he explains.

The Formulas
- Formula A (lightener):
- Moroccanoil® Blonde Voyage Lightener + 5-volume Moroccanoil® Oxidative Cream Developer
- Formula B (root tap):
- Moroccanoil® Color Calypso Demi-Permanent 4N + Moroccanoil® Color Calypso Demi-Permanent Gloss Activator
- Formula C (mids-to-ends gloss):
- Color Calypso Demi-Permanent 6.9 + 8.3 + Color Calypso Demi-Permanent Gloss Activator
Steps
1. Apply Formula A to create brightness throughout the head, using medium-sized weaves through the back and fine weaves on both sides.
2. Rinse. Apply Formula B as a root tap and Formula C as the mids-to-ends gloss. Process for a total of 20 minutes.
3. Rinse and begin styling. For this client, Mario applied two pumps of Moroccanoil® Thickening Lotion to the roots to enhance the body. Then, he applied the Moroccanoil® Treatment Original before styling. Finish with Moroccanoil® Luminous Hairspray for a super shiny finish.
