GORGEOUSLY GLOWING BRONDE

Celebrity Stylist George Papanikolas works with Hollywood’s hottest “It” girls, creating stunning sun-kissed hues and beautiful balayage across the wheel of natural color. From pale blonde to lived-in bronde, George is the guy who always delivers, and we just got the inside scoop on his always-trending glowlights technique using the new Bond Ultim8 from Matrix. Here’s how he created a gorgeously glowing bronde on Matrix Global Marketing Manager Emily Bennett.

“Bond Ultim8 doesn’t slow down the processing time and you don’t need to adjust the peroxide volume,” says George. “Plus, the condition and texture of the hair stays the same after lightening, which is important with freehand balayage.”

“My hair was left feeling even healthier than before the Bond Ultim8 service. It was overall more supple, softer and even shinier, and I’m thrilled with the outcome,” shares Emily. “I feel like I finally have my dream color, without compromising the health—I’m hooked!”

The Formulas

Formula A:
Matrix Light Master Lightener + 40-volume Matrix Cream Developer + Bond Ultim8

Steps

1. Freehand balayage with Formula A, remembering to always frame your client’s face with the color. Let process.

2. Once the hair is dry, backcomb large horizontal slices framing the face, natural part and ends to connect the first step. (This will create a soft root highlight that gradually gets stronger and bolder at the midlengths and ends.)

Pro Tip: Tell your client to use Bond Ultim8 step 3 once a week. Suggest applying the product from root to tip and leave in for 10 minutes. Then shampoo and condition as normal.
