Golden Honey Hue Using Redken Color Gels and Shades EQ

Want the secret for creating a honey hue with depth for days months? Try weaving permanent color behind prelightened strands. BTC Team Member @styled_by_carolynn likes to use Redken Color Gels Lacquers between lightened sections because of its shine, smooth application, ability to blend flawlessly with other tones and because it's a great way to add lasting dimension to the hair. Check out her formulas below, then catch the steps for creating this golden hue.

The Formulas

Formula A:
Lightener + 30-volume developer
Formula B:
Redken Color Gels 8N + 10-volume Redken Pro-Oxide Cream Developer
Formula C:
Redken Shades EQ 9T + 9P + Clear + Shades EQ Processing Solution

Steps

1. Balayage the hair using Formula A.

2. Next, apply Formula B in slices throughout the hair and between the lightened/balayaged pieces. Using a permanent color for this will create longer-lasting dimension for the client.

3. Then, apply Formula C all over to tone.
