For most, creating a cool copper color is HARD, but not for L’ANZA Healing Haircare Global Creative Director Matt Swinney (@matt.swinney). With this ginger and spice hue he recently posted to Insta, he made going red look easy. Catch his formulas and how he applied them below, then start practicing your reds behind the chair!
The Formulas
- Formula A (roots):
- 1 part L’ANZA Healing Haircare 6 Gold Copper + ½ part 7 Copper + ½ part 7 Natural Copper +10-volume Healing Cream Developer
- Formula B (mids and ends):
- 1 part L’ANZA Healing Haircare 8 Copper + 1 part 7 Copper + 1 part R Mix Demi Translucent + 10-volume Healing Cream Developer
Steps
1. Apply Formula A at the roots and blend down to about the midlengths.
2. Then, apply Formula B from the midlengths through to the ends and let process. Rinse and apply the L’ANZA Healing Haircare ColorCare Color Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner to add longevity to the color.
