Dua Lipa’s ’90s Blonde Transformation: Color Formulas & How To Steps

But this isn’t your basic blonde (I mean, it’s Dua)—it’s a two-toned, warm blonde that contrasts with her natural rich brunette underneath. And tbh, it’s what our ’90s dreams are made of. “It was a collaboration with Dua’s hairstylist Anna Cofone,” shares Nicola. “We love the Kurt Cobain look and we had a few references from the ’90s.”

Steps
1. Apply Formula A from mids to ends, starting in the back and working toward the front with tiny sections. Secure the sections in foils and close them loosely.
2. Apply Formula B to the roots. Process for 30 minutes.
3. After the mids and ends have processed for 30 minutes, reapply Formula A between foils and process for an additional 20 minutes.
4. Shampoo with Virtue® Smooth Shampoo and rinse.
5. Then, apply Virtue® Restorative Treatment Mask with ColorKick™ to hydrate and repair hair without weighing it down. Process for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
6. Then, apply Formula C to the roots and process for 3 minutes.
7. Apply Formula D from mids to ends. Process for 5 minutes, then rinse all of the hair.
8. Apply Virtue® Perfect Ending Split End Serum to the freshly lightened ends, blow-dry and style as desired.
