The seasons are changing and the air is getting cooler, but that doesn't mean your balayage has to! So when 2019 Warm Balayage #ONESHOT Winner Brittany Banda aka @texasbalayage shared this look with her 98k Insta followers, we had to share too! Painted with the NEW Schwarzkopf Professional BLONDME® Bond Enforcing Premium Clay Lightener, this color is giving us all of the fall feels.
The Formulas
- Formula A (Lightener)
- Schwarzkopf Professional BLONDME® Bond Enforcing Premium Clay Lightener + 30-volume BLONDME® Premium Developer
- Formula B (Low Lowlight)
- Wella Professionals Color Touch 5/0 + 13-volume Color Touch Emulsion Developer
- Formula C (Toner)
- Equal parts Color Touch 9/16 + 9/97 + 13-volume Color Touch Emulsion Developer
Steps
1. Create three wide, upside down triangle panel sections on either side of the head and in the back, for a total of nine sections. Surface paint panels with Formula A.
2. Apply Formula B to all remaining hair.
Pro Tip: One of the secrets to creating high-contrast dimension is having more darker tones than light, so do't be afraid of your lowlight formula.
3. To tone, apply Formula C at the bowl.
Pro Tip: To create multi dimensional tones, Brittany always tones with the highest level of lift. "My client was previously lightened so her ends lifted to a Level 9 with her newly lightened pieces lifting to about a 7. I always tone to the highest level because it creates beautiful, multidimensional tones throughout, even if the Level 7 doesn't fully pick up the toner."
4. To keep the client's color healthy and longlastig, use the BLONDME® Detoxifying System before styling. Shampoo using the BLONDME® Detoxifying System Purifying Bonding Shampoo. Followed by the BLONDME® Detoxifying System Shot mixed with 25g of BLONDME® Keratin Restore Bonding Mask and leave on for 10 to 20 minutes. Then, before drying spray towel dried hair with the BLONDME® Detoxifying System Bi-Phase Bonding & Protecting Spray to nourish and protect the hair.
