What’s the best part about creating deep, dreamy red hues? You don’t always have to prelighten beforehand! Here’s how Farouk Global Board Artist Anna Cantu took her model’s Natural Level 5 color to a sultry red while using the new CHI Chromashine color line (a new direct dye launching this September!).
The Formulas
- Formula A:
- CHI Chromashine Dangerously Red + Viva Violet
- Formula B:
- Dangerously Red + a drop Orange You Obsessed
- Formula C:
- Orange You Obsessed
Steps
1. Starting with her natural Level 5, apply Formula A at the roots and melt into Formula B. First paint the color on with a brush, then blend and saturate through completely with your fingers.
2. Apply Formula C at the ends alternating every other section. Let process for 20 minutes, then rinse.
