After a long, blonde summer, Raven Camacho’s (@soraverly) client was ready for a fall update. So Raven—owner of Raven Row Salon in Austin, Texas—chopped off all her blonde, softened the color and added some cooler tones for the cooler season. Here’s her color formula and how-to.

- Formula A
- PRAVANA Pure Light Balayage Lightener + High Activator + 16 oz. Olaplex No.1
- Formula B (roots)
- Redken Shades EQ 7V + Shades EQ Processing Solution
- Formula C (hairline and ends)
- Shades EQ equal parts 8V + 9P + Shades EQ Processing Solution
Steps
1. Raven dry-cut the hair first to remove length and weight.
2. Apply Formula A from the midlengths to the ends, fully saturating the ends. Wrap each section in balayage film, and process for 40 minutes with heat.
3. Rinse, apply Wella Professionals Service Color Post Treatment, rinse again, then tone with Formula B. Process for 20 minutes.
4. Treat with Olaplex No.2 for 20 minutes. Shampoo and condition with R+Co ATLANTIS Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. Blow-dry, and style with R+Co FREEWAY Defining Spray Gel and SAIL Soft Wave Spray.
