Jet Black to Multidimensional Red

Kevin Green of Luigi Bruni Salon in Birmingham, MI has a client who loved her jet black locks—until a few weeks ago when she decided that, with spring in the air, it was time for a change. So she asked Kevin to switch it up! “The goal was for her color to be a gorgeous, all-over red that also had dimension and shine,” says Kevin. Here’s his exclusive color formula for his client’s multidimensional red makeover.

2. Rinse and perform a bleach wash on roots and ends using Formula B, then rough-dry until about 80 percent dry.

3. Apply Formula C to roots and drag out about 6 inches, creating a color melt.

5. Blend Formula E into the few pieces left out from the previous application. Process for 25 minutes.
