Color corrections are oftentimes the most challenging appointments…but they can also be some of the most rewarding work behind the chair! When PRAVANA Color Collective artist Presley Poe’s (@presleypoe) client came in with multiple faded-out fashion colors, she came up with a plan to replace those unwanted tones with a rich scarlet red! Steps
1. Start by applying PRAVANA Artificial Hair Color Extractor all over. Process for 20 minutes, then rinse.
2. Slicing small subsections and leaving the ends out, apply Formula A in the back quadrants and Formula B in the front quadrants. Process until Level 8.5 is achieved. Then, mist the hair until damp.
3. Apply Formula C to the ends. Process for 5 minutes, then rinse.
4. Apply Formula D to pre-tone the hair, process for 20 minutes and rinse.
5. Apply Formula E to the base. Then, alternate applying Formula F and Formula G throughout using a color melt application. Process for 20 minutes, then rinse and style as desired.
