Sometimes your brunette babes want a little something more to bring brightness and dimension to their dark tresses and babylights are the answer! BTC Team Member Julie Holbrook (@headrushdesigns) did just that to make this espresso-hued lob pop and gave us the deets on how you can do it too. Grab the formulas and steps below!
The Formulas
- Formula A
- PRAVANA Chromasilk 5N + 6N + 20-volume developer
- Formula B
- PRAVANA Pure Light Ultra Lightener + 10-volume developer
- Formula C (Roots & Back)
- Redken Shades EQ 7n + Shades EQ Processing Solution
- Formula D (Ends & Hairline)
- Shades EQ 1 oz. 9P + ½ oz. 9V + ½ oz. 9T + Shades EQ Processing Solution
Steps
1. Start by applying Formula A to the roots.
2. Create babylights around the face-frame using Formula B.
3. Apply a Formula C to tone the roots and back sections of the hair and let sit for 5 minutes, before applying Formula D to tone the ends and the hairline.
4. Rinse, blow-dry and style using a 1.25" Hot Tools® Professional 24K Gold Curling Iron.
