We know all of you are gearing up for warmer spring weather, but this ash beige shadow root from Cali colorist Jeffrey Robert (@jeffreyrobert_) is so COOL. The BTC Team Member and 2018 Hot Shot Platinum Winner lightened his client over three sessions, who is naturally a Level 4, and then used two different toner formulas to create a slight shadow root to give her a natural grow out. The Formulas
- Formula A
- Goldwell Silklift High Performance Lightener + 20-volume Silklift Conditioning Cream Developer
- Formla B (Base Toner)
- Equal parts 8BP Goldwell Colorance + 9BA Colorance + Colorance Lotion
- Formula C (Ends Toner)
- 10BA Colorance + a drop of Goldwell @purepigments Pure Violet
Steps
- Lighten the hair using Formula A. Since this was the client's third lightening session, Jeffrey did a root touch-up with Formula A.
- While the hair is still damp, apply Formula B to the base to create a shadow root.
- Then, apply Formula C to the ends. Let process for 15-20 minutes.
