But with a little help from Ash Fortis of G Patton Salon in Norfolk, VA, her client is now rocking this apricot blonde blend! This was not an easy transformation, Ash says. “But the right tools, technique, patience and formulas knocked this out of the park!” This is how Ash achieved color melt perfection.
The Formulas
- Formula A (roots):
- PRAVANA ChromaSilk 4Mv Mahogany Violet Brown + PRAVANA Zero Lift Color Activator
- Formula B:
- Redken Flashlift 40-volume developer + Olaplex
- Formula C:
- PRAVANA ChromaSilk 8Cbv Light Copper Beige Blonde + PRAVANA Zero Lift Color Activator
- Formula D:
- PRAVANA ChromaSilk 9Bv Very Light Intense Beige Blonde + PRAVANA Zero Lift Color Activator
Steps
- Apply Formula A to roots.
- Balayage small sections with Formula B, using foils for extra lift and making sure to saturate the ends.
- Process for 40 minutes, until lifted as light as they can go while remaining healthy.
- At the bowl, apply Formula C on towel-dried hair 4 inches from the root, using a color brush to blend two to three inches into the midshaft, depending on the desired look. Process for 15 minutes.
- Continue to the ends using Formula D and process for 5 minutes.
- Rinse, condition and style.
